TxGIO strives to provide high value information and geospatial data for our GIS community and the public. To effectively carry out our mission, our team works on various types of projects with internal and external stakeholders in the GIS community. We utilize a hybrid of agile and traditional project management frameworks to plan and implement projects that will provide valuable services and information for our GIS users.

At TxGIO project management is a business practice that is essential to guiding and managing our geospatial work and community events. Our project managers work with program and technical staff in TxGIO to establish project vision, and to plan and execute work so that projects with multiple contributors and complex technical components are implemented with successful outcomes.
