Application Development
The Application Development team creates digital tools that make more than 2,000 digital mapping datasets available to the public. This team builds and maintains web maps, dashboards, and data applications that support TxGIO and TWDB projects. Their work translates complex spatial information acquired by StratMap and other public agencies into easy-to-use interfaces that connect the public to Texas landscapes, water resources, and community conditions. They work with program staff to understand project needs and deliver efficient reliable tools. They provide updates, fixes, and improve functionality overtime. The Application Development team section is a strong advocate for open-source development and most of the code for their projects is available on Github.
